Products Engineering
The product management methodology practiced at Synesco includes following key activities and is performed by dedicated team having expertise in the specific area.
-
Requirement Study
Under this activity, the Synesco team performs a detailed requirement analysis using the business requirement document and interactions with the business team to understand the requirements in detail and produces a SRS document. The SRS describes the desired solution in detail.
-
Product Fitment Analysis (Gap Analysis)
The requirement analysis team in the next stage, performs a gap analysis to derive the degree of mismatch and the amount of customisation required and derives the effort estimates.
-
Proposing a solution to address the requirements
The entire proposed solution including the customizations required is documented as a solution approach document and is presented to the business team for approval along with the customizations required.
-
Custom Developments & Integration with the product
The customizations are taken into development and once ready are integrated with the product to produce the required solution. The entire solution is then taken into testing by the internal team where various types of testing is performed.
-
Implementation
As part of implementation, the solutions are deployed within the UAT environment and training sessions are conducted to train the business users. After the training, the application databases are cleaned and the system is made ready for UAT. All the issues highlighted during the UAT cycles are addressed as per the SLA standards and the UAT is completed with a sign off from the business users.
Upon sign-off, the product is promoted to production environment and is verified with some pilot transactions. Upon successful execution of pilot transactions, a go-live signoff is given by the business users and from this point onwards the production support starts.
